Friendly Dinosaurs

NATR-0002-0916

Since 1808 the now extinct dinosaurs are scientifically described. In 1842 the group got its name, which means "fearsome dinosaurs." (A combination of deinos, meaning "terrible", "potent", or "fearfully great" and sauros, meaning "lizard" or "reptile"). Between 1870 and 1925, many fossils of dinosaurs were discovered, especially in North America. After that period the interest decreased significantly. However, since 1968, there has been a significant revival of the research into dinosaurs, called the "Dinosaur Renaissance".

Although the dinosaur is a "fearfully great reptile" the dinosaurs on this wallpaper actually look quite friendly.
